Photo Shoot Review 2015

Kaitlyn Manire's Blog:

Which photo do you like best? Why?

My favorite photo from her blog was the connected photo that was black and white, because it seemed simple and yet it had a deeper meaning that I could find, that the two subjects are supporting each other, physically and spiritually.

Which is your least favorite image? Why?

My least favorite image was the "8" photo, because it seemed cliched and I think she may have run out of things to take for 8. But I am guilty of that as well,so I can't talk.

Overall, make two positive statements about their pictures.

Her pictures exhibit understanding  for the material in a way more than the average student would. The pictures are the majority of the time of a high quality than normally seen from people from her experience.

Overall, what is one area that this person could improve upon in your opinion.

I have only compliments for her pictures, and I do not see an area that she could improve upon.

Which prompt do you think they did the best portraying, from your perspective?

The best photo that portrayed the prompt was in my opinion the "Connected" photo because it can be interpreted multiple different ways. Photos with multiple interpretations are in my opinion the best because it leaves the interpretation up to the viewer, something that few photographers have the ability to do.

Which prompt do you think they did the least successfully portray, from your perspective?

The least successful portrayal of the content was the "8" photo, because it is an overused cliche, using cell phones in images, and unless they are used in a unique way, they should be, in my opinion, be avoided as props in a photograph.
